ZENONIA 1 Bosses
Seal guardians and finale fights, including the good-route and evil-route swaps.
ZENONIA 1 bosses are dungeon punctuation, not a raid roster. Most seals have one named guardian. Greed has traps instead. Despise and Shame swap the guardian if you lean evil. This page is the fight list. Order and doors live in the walkthrough. Route rules live in alignment.
Eat, repair, and dump weight before every name below. A hungry Assassin does not have a boss mechanic problem — they have a hunger problem.
The video in the middle of this page is a Vicious fight from the original campaign, useful if you are on the good-leaning Despise path.
Pale — Seal of Deceit
Pale is the first real test after Adonis. The cave teaches traps; Pale teaches you to use the skill bar instead of only auto-swings. Warrior can trade hits. Paladin should. Assassin should dash through wind-ups and not stand in the arena center. If you are still in the Steam demo, you will not reach this fight — the demo stops before the investigation quest.
Story: Parole, Langue, and the first dump about Regret’s father sit around this dungeon. Do not skip the scenes if you care about alignment; the fork is nearby.
Vicious or Vague — Seal of Despise
Good-leaning saves fight Vicious. Evil-leaning saves fight Vague. Same dungeon shell, different pattern and aftermath. If a guide or video only says Vicious, it is the good-route assumption.
Vicious is a straightforward brute if you upgraded through Adonis shops. Vague is the reason evil-route players should not arrive in starter whites. Either way, SP skills matter more than a second leftover food cake. Class notes: Paladin holds, Assassin burst-dashes, Warrior stays in the middle — same as the tier list.
Seal of Greed — no boss, still a wall
Greed is listed here because players search “Greed boss” and then fall in a pit. There is no arena guardian. The dungeon is plates, patience, and inventory. Dash as a panic button is how you die. Read controls and walk.
Ghost of Ladon — Seal of Betrayal
The mythic fight. Ladon is the demon-god name Com2us still uses when they describe why the first adventure was worth restoring. Expect a longer telegraphed fight than Pale. Assassin: do not greedy the full combo if you cannot dash out. Paladin: this is your showcase. Warrior: spend the skill slots you have been hoarding.
Bring repaired gear. Betrayal is late enough that a broken weapon turns the ghost into a chore. Batch repair is a Steam addition — use it in the last town, not in the corridor.
Virulent or Lady Charity — Seal of Shame
Good-leaning: Virulent. Evil-leaning: Lady Charity. This is the other major swap. If your video does not match, you are on the other meter, not in the wrong cave.
Shame is late. If the guardian two-shots you, you skipped rarity bands. Visit shops listed conceptually on the map and the items page. Do not grind Ayles slimes as a solution.
Canyon of Despair
The finale is a sequence, not a single named mid-game guardian. Endings follow alignment. Prep like a seal: food, weight, repair, skill bar. There is no friend to revive you. Single-player close. After credits, the useful pages are review and a second class on builds.
Class versus bosses
- Warrior: First-save default. You can learn every telegraph without a shield crutch or a glass cannon restart.
- Paladin: Best if you hate surprise damage. Shame and Ladon feel fairer.
- Assassin: Best if you already dash well. Worst if you fight overweight or hungry.
Open the matching page before a second attempt: Warrior, Paladin, Assassin.
Steam-specific boss advice
Damage numbers and hit effects were made more readable on PC. Use that. If you cannot see a telegraph on a TV, sit closer or play on a monitor. Controller is fine; the double-tap dash still has to be clean. Quick save at the door of every seal. Quick save does not refill HP.
The restoration is still a 2008 fight design under a 2026 HUD. Bosses do not grow modern stagger bars. You space, you skill, you eat. That is the whole list.
When a boss is locked, it is a story gate, not a gear score. Return to the walkthrough rather than farming the wrong field listed on the map.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for new and returning adventurers.
Who is the first boss in ZENONIA 1?
Pale, at the Seal of Deceit, after Adonis. The Steam demo stops before that quest.
Why is my Despise boss not Vicious?
Evil-leaning saves fight Vague instead. Check alignment.
Is there a boss at the Seal of Greed?
No. Traps are the fight. Slow down and watch plates.
Which class is easiest for bosses?
Paladin for forgiveness, Warrior for a first blind clear, Assassin if you already know dash timing. See the tier list.
