ZENONIA 1 Stat Builds

ZENONIA 1 lets you spend stat points as you level, and the Steam restoration kept that freedom. It did not add a respec kiosk. A bad spread is a new save. This page is conservative first-file advice for Warrior, Paladin, and Assassin. Rankings stay on the tier list hub. Side-by-side roles stay on the comparison tool.

Rules that beat any spreadsheet

1. Do not spend every point in Ayles. Buy a weapon, feel the swing, then commit. Items first, math second.
2. Food and weight are stats. A perfect STR stack on an empty stomach is a fake build. Hunger and weight.
3. Skills on the HUD are part of the build. Empty Z, X, C, V is an incomplete character. Controls.
4. Alignment is not a stat. Do not spend points to “make Paladin good.” Alignment.

Warrior spread

Early (Ayles to Adonis): majority STR, then VIT, trickle DEX. You want slimes to die and Pale to be fair.

Mid (Deceit to Greed): keep VIT from falling behind. If you are getting two-shot, VIT; if caves take forever, STR.

Late (Betrayal to Canyon): STR if Ladon is a sponge, VIT if Shame telegraphs clip you. Do not suddenly dump DEX to zero or swings feel cursed.

Warrior is the getting started default because this spread is hard to brick. You can be slightly wrong and still finish the walkthrough.

Paladin spread

Early: VIT, then STR. Paladin players who skip STR create 15-minute bird fights and still get hungry.

Mid: VIT floor, STR ceiling. DEX only for comfort.

Late: enough STR that Lady Charity or Virulent is not a durability race against your own food stack. Paladin’s job is to live; Paladin’s failure mode is living too long without killing.

Heavy gear plus VIT plus a full bag is how Paladin dash dies. Spend gold on repairs and vendor trips, not on every plate that drops.

Assassin spread

Early: DEX and STR, minimum VIT to survive Ayles mistakes. If you die to the first field pack, add VIT before you add more DEX.

Mid: keep the light-weapon plan. If you equipped a slow rare, your “build” is already wrong regardless of numbers.

Late: one more VIT cluster before Ladon if you keep getting clipped, otherwise stay greedy. Assassin is allowed to be greedy on paper. Assassin is not allowed to be greedy in Greed.

Demo test: if this spread feels bad in Adonis, the class is telling you to play Paladin on the real file, not to invent a fourth stat.

Skills as a build

Each class tree is the original identity the restoration kept. Unlock along the obvious combat spine. Do not save every point for a mystery late skill you saw in a 2010 forum post unless you like restarting. Use skills in Adonis so Pale is not the first time you press C.

SP food is a build item for Assassin. Paladin can skip some of it. Warrior sits in the middle. All three still buy meals.

Example first-save plans (not a simulator)

• Safe Warrior: STR > VIT > DEX, repair every town, good-leaning route so boss names match videos.
• Safe Paladin: VIT > STR, light-enough armor to dash, same good-leaning route.
• Demo Assassin: DEX > STR, tiny VIT, dump weight constantly; convert to a real save only if dash feels right.

There is no official Com2us calculator. Steam achievements will not fix a brick. If you already bricked, start a new file — that is faster than living in Ayles for two hours hoping a hidden reset exists.

When a build is not the problem

If Pale two-shots you, check food, durability, and whether you are still in starter whites. If Greed kills you, check plates. If the wrong guardian appears, check alignment. If the game feels like it needs a fourth class, it does not — read the review and pick one of the three.
