Class Comparison

Use this table before you confirm a class in ZENONIA 1. You cannot respec. Rankings with more prose sit on the tier list. Full kits sit on Warrior, Paladin, and Assassin. This page is the grid.

How to read the table

“Safest” does not mean “best.” Paladin is the easiest path through bosses. Assassin is the highest ceiling if controls dash is clean. Warrior is the class the getting started page tells fence-sitters to click.

Alignment is a separate axis. Paladin does not auto-complete the good ending. Assassin does not auto-complete evil. Alignment.

Decision rules

  • If you have one save and a job: Paladin.
  • If you have one save and action-RPG habits: Warrior.
  • If you have already finished a save or you came back from 2009 for speed: Assassin.
  • If the demo dash felt wrong: not Assassin.
  • If you play on a TV: Paladin.
  • If you refuse hunger systems: this may not be your game, but Paladin hides it longest. Review.

After you click

Follow the checklist in Ayles. Buy food. Repair. Dump weight. Then play the walkthrough in seal order. Stat splits: builds. Specs if the pixel art stutters: system requirements.

This table will only change if a patch adds a class or a respec. The restoration interview did not promise either. See PC changes.

Return to the tools hub for the other two tables. Return to the tier list if you want paragraphs instead of rows. The three class pages link to each other on purpose so you can bounce without going back to Guides.

Worked examples

You have Saturday and the demo. Paladin. You will see Adonis, you will not rage-quit a slime pack, you will know if the script’s jokes still work. Then decide whether to wait for the August 31, 2026 full build.

You finished the original on iPhone. Assassin, if dash still lives in your hands. If it does not, Warrior until the Steam dash feels like 2009, then a second Assassin file. The restoration interview is about that dash for a reason — PC changes.

You dislike managing food. Paladin still has to eat. The restoration kept hunger. If that sentence is a deal-breaker, the review is the page that tells you to skip the buy. Do not pick Assassin hoping meals become optional.

You want both endings. Two files. Class can stay the same; alignment cannot. The table above does not have an ending column because endings are not class-locked.

Print this page or leave it on a second monitor during the prologue. The class scene is short. The save is long. Checklist after you click.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for new and returning adventurers.

Which class should I pick in ZENONIA 1?

Paladin for safety, Warrior for a default first file, Assassin for a skilled second file. Details in the table above.

Does any class skip hunger?

No. Paladin hides empty-stomach pain longest. Read hunger and weight.

Can I compare more than three classes?

No. The restoration keeps Warrior, Paladin, and Assassin only.

Where are stat numbers?

Philosophy and spreads are on stat builds. This page is roles, not a simulator.
