ZENONIA 1 Warrior

Balanced and resilient — the class that teaches the restoration without a glass jaw.

Warrior Class

Warrior is the middle child of ZENONIA 1 and the class you should pick if this is your first Steam file. Official copy says “balanced and resilient.” That is accurate. You hit hard enough to clear Ayles without falling asleep. You live through Pale’s first phase without needing Paladin’s full wall. You dash enough to learn the restored double-tap without Assassin’s punishment for greed.

This page is the Warrior kit. Compare raw roles on the class comparison tool. Rank versus the other two on the tier list hub. Stat spreads sit on builds.

The video in the middle of this page is a Warrior playthrough opener, useful for early field combat even though the HUD is the original layout rather than the Steam gold-wing bar.

Playstyle

Warrior stands in melee, spends SP on straightforward skills, and uses the dash as a reset rather than a lifestyle. In Ayles you can faceroll slimes. In Adonis you should start respecting packs. In Greed you still walk on plates like everyone else. Warrior does not skip traps. Warrior only survives the mistake after the trap.

Versus Paladin: you kill faster, you heal less from raw defense, you get bored less. Versus Assassin: you miss the burst highlight, you keep your save when you eat a Pale swing.

Stats

Early: STR and VIT, with enough DEX that swings do not feel like molasses. Do not dump every point the second you ding in Ayles. Leave a small bank until you have a weapon you intend to keep — see items. Mid game: keep VIT from falling behind seal bosses. Late: STR if bosses are spongy, VIT if you are dying to Shame or Ladon telegraphs.

Hungry Warrior still functions. Overweight Warrior dashes late. Food is still required; it is just less dramatic than on Assassin. Read hunger and weight.

Skills and HUD

Fill Z, X, C, V as the tree opens. Warrior skills are mostly “hit this area harder” rather than Paladin’s sustain or Assassin’s mobility. Use them. Empty SP in a seal is a wasted tree. The Steam HUD shows the slots; controls maps the keys.

Do not save every cooldown for a boss that is three caves away. Pale, Vicious/Vague, and Ladon all want you to already know the buttons.

Gear

Swords and honest armor. Skip Assassin-light pieces that look stylish but drop your VIT floor. Skip Paladin-heavy plates that erase the dash if a lighter rare is a real upgrade. Repair before every seal. Warrior is the class most likely to “just one more cave” until the sword breaks — do not.

Appearance changes with the set. If Regret suddenly looks like a knight, you probably equipped something slower. Check comparison in the shop, a Steam QoL note from PC changes.

Boss notes

  • Pale: fair. Learn the fight here.
  • Vicious: fair on good route.
  • Vague: still fair if your rarity is current.
  • Greed: traps. Walk.
  • Ghost of Ladon: spend SP. This is the first fight that punishes auto-attack-only Warrior.
  • Virulent / Lady Charity: upgrade first. Warrior does not out-level a skipped town.
  • Canyon: eat, repair, dump junk.

Full patterns: bosses. Route: walkthrough.

When not to pick Warrior

If you already know the game and want a stylish second save, pick Assassin. If bosses make you quit action RPGs, pick Paladin. If you want the reviewer’s default, stay here. The review says the same thing in softer language.

Demo hour: Warrior is the control sample. You will see hunger, shops, and Adonis combat without a bias toward tank or glass. Then decide whether the restoration is for you before the August 31, 2026 Steam launch date.

Next reads inside this category: Paladin if you want more armor, Assassin if you want more speed, builds if you want point-by-point spreads.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for new and returning adventurers.

Is Warrior good for beginners in ZENONIA 1?

Yes. It is the default first save on this wiki. Paladin is even safer; Assassin is not.

What stats should Warrior take?

STR and VIT first, enough DEX to keep swings snappy. Full spreads are on builds.

Does Warrior change with good or evil?

No. Alignment swaps some bosses, not the class tree. See alignment.

Warrior or Paladin for the demo?

Warrior for a fair test, Paladin if you only want to see Adonis story. Demo guide.
